Kamala - a new sportscar name

Kamala, not a name that springs to mind when thinking of exclusive British sportscars but this relatively small outfit continues to produce lightweight cars offering giant killing performance for the price of a mid-range BMW 3-series. The existing one model line up, consisting of the RT, has now been extended with the launch of the Futuro.

Based on Ford running gear, and therefore easily maintained, Kamala use seemingly humble ingredients to produce spectacular performance the likes of 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and 160 mph for about £30k. Far from being an exercise in straight-line performance the Kamala cars also feature the company's patented suspension set up to offer racecar thrills on the road. The Car Enthusiast will be driving a Kamala this summer to see if it lives up to its considerable hype.
