Ripeto..  ... l'impatto è simulato a 64 km/h e non ad esempio a 120 km/h (autostrada) o 90 (statali) perchè la maggior parte degli impatti avviene a quella velocità in conseguenza della frenata che un guidatore non svenuto/kamikaze effettua prima di collidere.. Il test Euroncap avviene a velocità costante e non in decelerazione per non introdurre pazzesche fonti di errori non sistematici cercando di controllare e omogeneizzare la durata e l'intensità della decelerazione . L'impatto simulato ai 64 chilometriorari contro una barriera deformabile con urto angolato, equivale a circa ad un tamponamento di una vettura a circa 110KM/H  |

By carrying out frontal impact tests at 64km/h (about 40 mph) we are simulating a car impacting a similar sized car where both cars are travelling the same speed of 55 km/h. This speed has been shown by accident studies to address a high proportion of fatal and severe injury accidents.
Should this not be higher given driving speed limits are higher?
Accident research shows that carrying out frontal impacts at 64km/h speed covers a large proportion of the serious and fatal accidents which occur. Even if the maximum speed limit is 120 km/h, few accidents occur at such speeds and where they do, it is beyond current capabilities to provide protection for the car's occupants.

scusa, se tu fossi nei panni del signor bmw, non ordineresti perentoriamente al tuo capo del marketing, che decide cosa scrivere nei depliant, di scrivere solo e tutto il meglio, possibilmente esagerandolo anche? E non faresti lo stesso per le convention/corsi/test destinati ai tuoi venditori?
Comunque, tra tutti i gadget elettronici, se funziona ed e' sicuro, questo e' uno di quelli che vorrei in macchina... |

Che quoto, riconfermo e sottoscrivo. Logica vuole che il guidatore freni prima di urtare l'ostacolo. Il 64 km/h (circa 40 miglia all'ora) è la velocità stimata dell'impatto , dopo la frenata, non la velocità di crociera a cui viaggiano le auto prima di avere l'incidente tipico.   « Ultima modifica: Giugno 01, 2010, 15:51:48 pm da Shockz » |

Continuo a non concordare... Esempio, da qui si evince che le velocità sono scelte su base statistica rispetto alla severità dei danni riportati degli occupanti. Si riferiscono al 25 % di morte, e al 50 % di MAIS 3+ (che e' il Maximum Abbreviated Injury Scale). MAIS 3+ rappresentano danni oltre il "Serious". http://www.eevc.org/publicdocs/ReviFSDirectives.pdfThe accident analyses indicated that the test speed which would include 25 percent of fatal injuries in frontal impacts, was about 42km/h in the Swedish data, 77km/h for Germany and 64km/h for the UK. For 50 percent of the MAIS 3+ injuries, the test speeds were about 46km/h for Sweden, 66km/h for Germany and 64km/h for the UK. It was noted that, for the Swedish data, based on Volvo cars, the average age of the occupants was more than 10 years older than for the German and UK data, which might help to explain these differences. Taking this into account, this led the majority of the EEVC WG members to conclude that the test speed should be increased to include a significant range of the serious and fatal injury cases (as was described in the original EEVC proposal.)
A more detailed breakdown of the injury distribution into contact-associated injuries and acceleration-based injuries suggests that an increase in speed would not result in car designs that will give an overall increase in injuries due to an increase in the overall stiffness of cars.
Comparative test at 50km/h of two cars with differing performance at 64km/h in the EuroNCAP test indicated that the better performing car at the higher speed also performed best at the lower speed. This confirmed that good performance at 64km/h did not necessarily result in stiffer cars that would perform worse at lower speeds. However, this is only one comparison and it would be advantageous to undertake a larger but limited test programme to determine whether it is generally the case that a good performance at the EuroNCAP speed was not necessarily
associated with increased stiffness.
Experience at testing vehicles at the EuroNCAP speed of 64km/h has shown that raising the test speed to 60km/h (or 64km/h) would not have design implications for the current deformable face.
While the accident analysis described above suggests that the speed should be increased to perhaps 65km/h, concerns by some EEVC experts regarding compatibility had led to the recommendation to increase the speed initially to 60km/h until there is a better understanding of compatibility.

Uff.. sono le velocità di impatto, non quelle di crociera prima dell'incidente..
