Most people tend to freak out after an accident with their cars even if there are no fatalities or injuries, but not Mr. Roberto Ricci, who had the misfortune of wrecking his prized Aston Martin Rapide sports saloon during a joy ride.

If you see Ricci's super cool reaction after the crash, you'd think that the Rapide suffered only a few minor scratches, when reality is that the car was brutally bashed / borderline repairable write-off.

The incident occurred in late July when Ricci, who is the founder and owner of RRD, makers of surfboards, windsurfs, sails and kites, took Dave White, editor of Mpora, for a quick ride in his Rapide after a guided tour of his company's facilities in Italy.

At some point, Ricci wanted to show White, who was filming the ride, the Rapide's performance credentials and disengaged the car's stability/traction control before entering a corner – bad move because shortly after he lost control and crashed on the protective barriers.

In the video Ricci says he disabled the system by mistake – if you see the controls on the Rapide's lower center console, it could be that he wanted to press the Sport button instead.

Although no airbags deployed, neither Ricci nor White appear to have been injured.

minchia si è aperta in due come una cozza...strano che non siano esplosi i bag per un botto del genere però... l'ha presa bene, mi piace "ho schiacciato il bottone sbagliato"...no al massimo "sono un pirla che ha schiacciato per errore il bottone giusto"

Se è vero che ha sbagliato bottone e non intendeva togliere il controllo di stabilità, non lo condannerei troppo, si è trattato solo di un errore, per quanto grave...

sembra quasi che stia dando la colpa all'ESP Disinserito...ma poi corregge dicendo che è entrato troppo veloce in curva e che neanche la frenata è bastata...

Per lo meno ha preso la cosa in maniera "sportiva"....fosse successa a me una cosa del genere sarei come minimo sbiancato...

e' andato dritto in pratica, quindi neanche l'ESP poteva evitare lo schianto.
