These are the first images of Alfa's new 156-based Coupe, commonly referred to as the "Sprint", in the flesh. Based around the floorpan and mechanicals of the 156 saloon with the same wheelbase, it is influenced by the smaller 147's styling, but with more pronounced effects. Initially the Sprint will be offered with the 2.0-litre direct-injection JTS engine, but 1.6 and 1.8-litre entry-level versions will follow, along with a range topping 300 bhp 3.2-litre V6 JTS GTA model which will offer 4x4. |

LONDRA - E' la Ferrari la società italiana "più rispettata" a livello mondiale. E' quanto emerge dalla graduatoria annuale pubblicata dal Financial Times e realizzata dal quotidiano britannico in collaborazione con la società di consulenza PriceWaterhouseCoopers intervistando mille amministratori delegati di livello mondiale.
La classifica, guidata dall'americana General Electric, vede la Ferrari al quarantasettesimo posto (su un totale di 60 multinazionali). La casa di Maranello precede giganti come Deutsche Bank (cinquantaduesimo posto), Johnson & Johnson (cinquantacinquesimo) e Vodafone (cinquantaseiesimo). La Ferrari è l'unica società italiana inclusa nella graduatoria globale stilata dal Financial Times mentre nelle classifiche di settore sono Fiat, Pirelli, Benetton e Barilla.
Nelle classifiche dedicate ai manager è Bill Gates a guidare la graduatoria. E così, dopo i primati di ricchezza, il creatore della Microsoft è adesso anche il manager più rispettato del mondo seguito da Jack Welch, ex numero uno di General Electric, in pensione ma a quanto pare ancora non dimenticato. Al terzo, quarto e quinto posto figurano, rispettivamente, Lou Gerstner di Ibm, Michaell Dell dell'omonimo gruppo e Warren Buffett di Berkshire Hathaway. All'ottavo posto c'è il presidente della Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan.
Perde quota Gianni Agnelli che scivola al trentatreesimo posto dal diciottesimo del 2001. Arretra anche Marco Tronchetti Provera che passa dal diciannovesimo al ventiseiesimo posto, comunque primo degli italiani. Tra i cinquanta manager più rispettati c'è una sola donna: Carly Fiorina di Hewlett-Packard.

Ma dai è carina! Proprio poco fà ho visto una "Fulvietta" Coupè verde bottiglia.. mitica!
Un mio cugino ne aveva una, verde bottiglia con gli interni in pelle beige. Era stupenda. L'ha venduta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The relaunch the Lancia brand will include a modern interpretation of the classic 1970s mid-engined sportscar, the Stratos, which will go on sale in 2006. Ambitious plans being drawn up by Gianni Coda the head of the Fiat/Lancia/LCV division and Fabrizio Longo, the Lancia chief, include a new Integrale, the "Fulvietta" 2+2 Sports Coupe which will be shown in Geneva and aims to update another 1970's classic, the Fulvia, a luxury mid-size MPV, already at an advanced stage, and proposals to return the marque to the RHD markets that were abandoned over ten years ago as well as a push into the Far East and the USA.
The new Lancia Stratos will be a 2-seater luxury mid-engined four wheel drive sportscar, producing 300-400bhp and limited to 1000 units. Designed by Bertone, it is believed that Ferrari have had strong input into the proposals including the area of technology sharing. The new Ferrari-designed 4.2-litre V8 engine that appears in the Maserati Coupe and Spider is under consideration, although the forthcoming GM/Alfa Romeo V6 engine is currently the route being tipped. The original Stratos was powered by a 190bhp V6 sourced from the Ferrari Dino, and, like the Fulvietta concept, the new Stratos will draw heavily on the old car for inspiration.
Lancia will continue to invest in their "luxury sports" image, with a fundamental overhaul of their dealer network, starting in Italy and fanning out across Europe. Early targets will include establishing new markets in the Eastern European countries, that stand on the verge of joining the EU. Longer term proposals center around a sales drive into Asia and the possibility of a return to the RHD markets, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Meanwhile Lancia claim to be pleased with the public response to two recent new models the Thesis and Phedra. The Thesis in particular has drawn attention as it makes its way onto the Italian roads and although orders are slightly behind expectations, dealers report "major" interest in the luxury executive saloon.
